Parking
Parking in the Downtown Plymouth Municipal Parking System is Free!
All public parking spaces located within the DDA Downtown Plymouth district are time-limited, but available at no charge to the user. Only about 40% of the parking in the downtown area is public, while the other roughly 60% of parking spaces owned by private entities. The DDA or City has no authority over the parking rules in the privately owned areas. See the map below for location details of municipally owned lots.
Whether your visit is 15 minutes or eight hours, there is free and convenient parking in Downtown Plymouth. Most on-street parking in Downtown Plymouth is limited to two-hours, with a few 15-minute carry-out/quick stop spaces strategically located across the downtown parking system. Municipally owned private lot time limits are either three-hour or eight-hours. The map below outlines those time differences. Visitors who park beyond time limits are subject to tickets from our parking enforcement team. Municipal lots and on-street parking time limits are enforced Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. through 9 p.m. There is no enforcement on Sundays and State Holidays.
Please note that during major events (Art in the Park, Plymouth Ice Festival, Plymouth Fall Festival and Christmas in Plymouth), local service organizations will manage the municipal parking lots and charge a fee as a fundraiser for their club. These lots must be managed for the safety of our visitors. Service clubs use the fees collected for programs and initiatives in the Plymouth community.
Some business also offer City-approved valet parking services November through March. Currently, The Ledger restaurant is the only business offering that service (on Penniman just west of Main street) during evening hours Thursday through Sunday.
