The Downtown Plymouth ArtWalk is a free, self-guided event that is currently installed in the alleyways connecting Fleet Street and Penniman Avenue. The ArtWalk features over both local artists and resident artist Tony Roko showcasing their work which is selected through a juried selection process carried out by the Art Foundation. Pedestrians can enjoy beautiful works of art as they come downtown to dine, drink, and enjoy summer in Downtown Plymouth! The ArtWalk is a great way to experience the vibrant arts community in Downtown Plymouth. It's also a great opportunity to meet local artists, learn about their work, and purchase original art.
The Detroit Institute of Art's InsideOut program is a free, public art initiative that places small-scale works of art on view in public spaces throughout the city. The program was created to make great art more accessible to everyone. In Downtown Plymouth, nine reproductions of notable DIA pieces have been installed in public spaces throughout the city. The artworks are on view until Fall of 2023. The InsideOut program is a great way to experience the beauty and creativity of the Detroit Institute of Art's collection. It's also a great way to learn about different cultures and perspectives while exploring beautiful Downtown Plymouth on foot! Please join us for the Downtown Plymouth ArtWalk or check out the Detroit Institute of Art's InsideOut program. Both events are a great way to enjoy the arts in our community.
